What an honour it was to join the Barenaked Ladies 2022 UK tour, playing alongside Boothby Graffoe in support.
I headed to the shows in Portsmouth, Cambridge, Manchester, Bath and Birmingham to play a handful of songs each night with Mr Graffoe, and we had so much fun. Jim Creeggan joined us on double bass for a couple of nights too, before being struck down with Covid.
And on that note – thankfully all four Ladies are now healthy, but what a special night in Manchester, when a very last-minute decision was made by Ed and Tyler to carry on as a duo, the two remaining band members with a clean bill of health. That night at the O2 Ritz was probably the best atmosphere of any gig I’ve been involved in, and a night I’ll never forget.
